Jessi Highet is a textile artist specializing in surface design with dye. She owns a studio in Brooklyn, New York, where she produces runs of unique pieces for fashion designers, set pieces for plays and movies, and one-off pieces for individual clients. She is also one of two co-owners of Re Dye Club, a program that aims to keep clothing and textiles in use by overdyeing stained, dingy, or otherwise undesirable items. Think of them like a dry cleaner that utilizes dye to cover and interact beautifully with stains instead of removing them. When out of the studio, you can find her walking thousands of miles with her husband under the moniker Highley Varlet, or trying to reform the Brooklyn Democratic Party as an elected County Committee member.
