Originally conceived as part of Deconstructed Sunday Feast, a large-scale mobile installation created by Ignacio Carmona and Sol Pardo in Barcelona, this hand-painted wooden object transforms an everyday form into a sculptural element.

Developed over six months, the installation draws from the tradition of still life, deconstructing the familiar objects of a shared table and suspending them in space. Each element was individually laser-cut from wood and hand-painted by Carmona, becoming part of a composition that moves between painting, sculpture, and the domestic object.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Ignacio Carmona is an Argentine painter based in Barcelona. He studied at the Esteban Lisa Foundation in Buenos Aires before continuing his Fine Arts training in Europe. His practice moves between abstraction and figurative painting, approaching painting as a process of observation, contemplation, and aesthetic inquiry. He currently works from his atelier in Barcelona, where he also teaches drawing and painting.

Sol Pardo (b. 1989, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a multidisciplinary designer and creative director working across fashion, performance, and object design. Through PARDOhats and her broader creative practice, she explores craftsmanship, materiality, and the relationship between functional and sculptural objects. In 2015, she was named Accessory Designer of the Year by Harper’s Bazaar Argentina, and in 2017 was selected by Vogue Italia for Vogue Talents.
