The workshop introduces key techniques from \u003cspan class=\"gmail-il\"\u003eFanny\u003c\/span\u003e’s practice, including backstitch (used as a continuous drawing line), running stitch for mark-making, and simple fabric gluing as an alternative or complement to stitching, creating a more layered collage effect.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eParticipants can choose to work on a flat fabric surface designed to be displayed as a wall piece, or bring a personal garment or functional object to work directly onto!\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou will cut, arrange, stitch, and assemble your materials into a finished textile collage, guided through both technique and composition. She received her master’s degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie (The National School of Photography) in Arles, France in 2005 and moved to New York City. Princeton University, Equity Gallery, Hyatt Centric (Philadelphia), DOT Art, A.I.R Gallery, New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, Fresh Window, Chashama and St. Eustache Church (Paris, France), and the Hudson Yards Alliance have organized solo exhibitions and public installations of her work. Fanny is the recipient of various fellowships and residencies including AIM (Bronx Museum), BRIC Lab Fellowship, Emergency Grant (Foundation for Contemporary Arts), A.I.R. Fellowship Program, Robert Blackburn Printmaking SIP Fellowship, Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts Studio Program, Yaddo Residency, Dieu Donné Workspace Residency, NYSCA\/NYFA Artist Fellowship (Craft\/Sculpture), MacDowell Fellowship, Puffin Foundation Grant, Wildacres Residency, and National Arts Club Artist Fellowship.
